Questions from the road of Holistic Creative Living

The Exploration
Journal

Being on the road with a mindset of open-ended inquiry can be a powerful way to embrace the potential for change through our encounters. Often, when reviewing a snapshot I took of a moment passing by, I find myself questioning my assumptions and the limitations of my knowledge. Having lived a long life of explorations with never-expiring curiosity, my dad instilled in me:

"Don't ever stop wondering until the last day of your life."

Holistic Creative Living is about viewing life as an ongoing journey, recognizing it as our curriculum for self-discovery and creative expression as we embrace the unknown. It's about keeping our minds open to the questions that arise while immersing ourselves in the present, beyond a defined endpoint. In doing so, we cultivate attributes that are vital for fully engaging with a moment:

  • Mindfulness and presence, as we consciously relate to something that has caught our attention.

Emotional connection, as we let ourselves be touched and changed by what we are observing.

Insight, as we dive into lifelong learning and un-learning, resulting in self-discovery and personal growth.

Inspiration, as we are moved by new impulses that can spark new ideas and innovation.

Inter-dependence, as we recognize how we are interconnected with others and the world as a bigger whole.

Adaptability, as we learn to flow with change and uncertainty, seeing challenges as opportunities for growth.
